Thank you to all the parents who helped make the BOA Denton contest a success. 

Lynne Curran and her Hospitality team were fabulously flexible and with all the changes due to the weather, smoothly got breakfast, snacks and dinner to everyone. 

Thank you to Melissa Flowers and her husband for the monumentous attempt to get the water jugs to Big Blue. 

The Chaperons deserve a big round of applause as well and did a great job at getting equipment and props where they needed to be and did a great job at taking care of our kids. 

And finally, last but by no means least, a huge thank you to the group of parents that went back to the stadium to load props onto Big Blue, in the rain, after the announcement that finals was canceled. 

This was team work at its best. Every effort by everyone was greatly appreciated. Thanks again for your help.

The President’s Box

                On behalf of the Richland Area Band Boosters (RABB) I wish to welcome all of our new members and our returning members! We really appreciate your support of the Band.

                We have a very busy year planned so far. Please check your emails regarding our Golf Tournament on August 25^th. This fundraiser is very important in order to get our year started on the right foot. We are still in need of sponsors, both corporate and personal, as well as volunteers on the day of the event.

Everything we do, or don’t do, as volunteers and parents, ultimately affects what the students can or cannot achieve throughout the school year. This participation can affect anything from props, trips and activities, types of food, and even the band bill. There are many opportunities to help, some of which do not require you to even leave your house! The students really do appreciate all that we do and are a great pleasure to work with. I can say from experience that we have the best band kids around! There are quite a few committees that really need your help and even some that do not have a chair person as of yet. Please get involved. This is really very important to your student (whether he or she ever admits it to you).

                Our next meeting will be July 10^th at 7:00 pm. The meeting will be at the North Richland Hills Library. This is an important meeting in that we will be discussing the budget for the 2012-2013 school year. Come find out what our financial needs are for this year and how you can help this wonderful group of students achieve their goals!
